What drove your decision to study an MSc in Managing Business Performance?
My decision to study the MSc Managing Business Performance course was based on gaining a holistic view of businesses to help me stand out in the marketplace and accelerate my career. I also believed studying an accredited course would strengthen my credibility in the field.
Why did you choose Heriot-Watt for your MSc?
I chose to study at Heriot-Watt because of its great reputation and its renowned academic body. The good reviews from alumni and the scholarship opportunities available also ensured me that Heriot-Watt was the right choice!
Can you tell us about a course that you’ve particularly enjoyed during Semester 1 of your degree?
I have particularly enjoyed the Measuring and Managing Performance course. Besides being taught by one of the most influential professors in the field, the course equipped me with very practical knowledge which will certainly be very useful throughout my career as a manager.
Beyond your studies, how has your overall experience at Heriot-Watt University been so far?
My experience at Heriot-Watt has been amazing so far! Staff at the university are incredibly helpful and friendly. Lecturers have open door policies and the career centre has helped me a lot with advice and workshops. They even connected me with a mentor at Heineken who has helped me so much with my employability skills.
How would you describe your experience of living in Edinburgh/Scotland?
Living in Edinburgh is fantastic! Scotland is a beautiful and friendly country, and its capital does not disappoint: it is historical, functional and full of life! With a great castle, museums, pubs and events like the Christmas market and the Fringe Festival, Edinburgh has a great atmosphere for students!
What is your ambition for after you graduate?
As an overseas student, my greatest ambition for after I graduate is building a career in Europe, eventually becoming a leader in an existing company or opening my own business.
